The Terraces, Paddington

The Terraces, Paddington

From the re-construction and up-grading of the facilities to accommodate for the needs of the elderly, while still operating. We achieved the most incredible view to The Terraces.

The Terraces, Presbyterian Aged Care’s at the former Scottish Hospital site on Brown Street in Sydney’s Paddington. Designed by Cottee Parker JPR Architects, The Terraces expands over 1.5 hectares and includes a 100 bed residential aged care facility as well as a 23 bed dementia unit; 70 over 55’s independent living units across four buildings; and the adaptive conversion of the Scottish Hospital heritage building into nine independent living units.

The new landscaping involved construction of a courtyard specifically designed to assist those with Dementia and re-construction of the heritage terraced gardens to reflect the heritage of the property. Also additional park space was created with BBQ and shelter for families.

The project has created a positive, forward thinking community that have the support in place to assist with people’s changing needs. With stress-free and a thriving retirement community atmosphere, where people can get together in harmony, safety and security while enjoy retirement living of the highest standard.
